"Egg Drop Challenge - Iteration #1"

We used a trash bag as a parachute and put the egg in the cup surrounded by cotton balls

"Total # of Achievements Earned": 22

- Our first achievements came from our supplies could fit in a cigar box if we crushed the cup, that's 3 ach.
- Our idea weighed less than 50 grams so we got an extra 6 achievements.
- Our first attempt hit the paper so we got 1 achievement.
- Our egg did not crack at all so there is 6 more.
- We used algebra to find the distance the egg falls, geometry using shapes and arithmetic to add the distance of the fall, we got 3 for this.
- Our last four achievements came from brainstorming and generating ideas.

- Our designs did pretty good but Mike's paper parachute did well and Connor's egg didn't break also.
- We could make our idea better by maybe dropping off a higher height so the air would have more time to catch. We could also improve it by having a helium filled balloon tied on top for even more air.

  1. Please show your math calculations to earn the Achievements on those!

I'm interested to see how you used Algebra to calculate the distance. Wouldn't that be easier just to measure?

Good job showing your decision matrix. When you create a matrix to share, make sure you name the designs with a name that describes the design in some way. I don't have any idea what idea 3 looks like in comparison to idea 2, etc. Thins like "Parachute" and "Glider" help a person have at least a vague idea of what you're talking about.
