The Carnival Crusise problem

What was the nature of the problem the ship experienced?
  •  A fire disabled the ship, which was then towed to San Diego. It was scheduled to sail along the coast of Mexico on a seven-day cruise. The fire was in the aft engine room that disabled its six diesel electric engines.
What repairs were required?
  • repair the crippled liner Splendor, It's unclear just how much help Carnival needs to repair the 952-foot liner, which lost most of its power Monday after a fire broke out in Splendor's aft engine room.
What impact did the unexpected arrival of the cruise ship have on the local economy?
  • the unexpected arrival actually helped out the local San Diego economy with its arrival because it helped local hotels and businesses as 1800 people docked and stayed in San Diego.
